From the 8th to the 22nd of September 2023 I had the pleasure to exhibit my illustrations together with my artist collective BITS'N Pieces at Atelier da Graca in Lisbon.
Part of this exhibition were three meet-up events where visitors could discover our art and exchange and network with other visitors.
Furthermore, there were flash tattoos of my illustrations live at an event in cooperation with Ania von golaya.tatts.

Step into Katja’s world
An upside down world of wonder brought to being in a fascinating mixed realities approach. Her universe is something truly special, and it is for you to discover at this exhibition.
The first thing that struck as you walk into her world is how vast it seem - like an entire universe made up of pure white paper and black ink.
Everywhere you look there is incredible shapes and creatures coming alive in front of your eyes; animals frolicking around gardens filled with peculiar objects, sky-scapes full of swirling stars and galaxies, forests where trees came together in a rainbow patterned canopy ..all drawn by just two simple tools: a pen and paper.

As you explore further you might feel as if time had stopped still - every moment could last an eternity; each creature or object taking on its own character while also somehow becoming part of one another‘s story at the same time. The longer you stay in this world the more enchanted you became until eventually it felt like everything here was connected - from plants to people, from dreams to reality - nothing seemed impossible!
It almost feels like anything could come true within these walls - no matter how crazy or farfetched one‘s imagination may be! Be on your way deep down inside this dreamlike world created by Katja Helmin – And suddenly you might feel so much smaller yet infinitely larger than before –
